LIVE: Ukraine and Russia launch drone strikes during US-led peace talks
What is in the 28-point US plan for Ukraine? Why is Europe opposing Trump's peace plan? Is the fall of Pokrovsk inevitable? 'A corruption scandal may well end the Ukraine war' At least 18 Ukrainians have been wounded in Russian drone attacks on the Zaporizhzhia area as tens of thousands of invading troops continue their advance on the southeastern region. Ukraine says it supports the "essence" of a United States plan to end its war with Russia, as US President Donald Trump says "progress" is being made and dispatches special envoy Steve Witkoff to Russia for talks with President Vladimir Putin.

White House accused of flying drone cover up as New Jersey residents vow to shoot them down - live updates
Reports of mysterious drone sightings in New Jersey have now spread to multiple states, as residents and local officials demand answers from the US Government. Numerous'car-sized' drones have been seen hovering throughout the state since mid-November, sometimes appearing in groups and often remaining in the same place for hours at a time. The first drone sightings appeared over the US Army's Picatinny Arsenal and over President-elect Donald Trump's golf course in Bedminster on November 18. But reports of varying levels of credibility have now spread to at least 12 counties throughout the Garden State, as well as eastern Pennsylvania and Orange County, New York. The FBI and other agencies are investigating, but the Department of Homeland Security said Wednesday: 'We have no more information as to where these drones are coming from, where they're launching from, where they're landing.'

Apple WWDC 2024 LIVE updates: All the expected announcements including iOS 18, AI features and more
Nothing official has been said yet about Apple's agreement with OpenAI to incorporate the Microsoft-owned company's ChatGPT into its well-known iOS voice-based personal assistant Siri, but here's what we know going into WWDC 2024 today. Apple's vice president of corporate development, Adrian Perica, has been quietly leading the charge to integrate the two, according to anonymous sources who spoke to the New York Times -- with the hope that the end result will be a Siri that's more conversational and versatile. Unlike its rivals however, Apple's core brand has been built on being intuitive and easy to use for the average person, so the company is the least likely to take any big risks with its AI offering. 'Apple is pretty conservative when it comes to everything, so I don't know that they will "wow" people,' Carolina Milanesi, president of Creative Strategies, a tech research firm, told the Times. 'But they have to do this because it will be how we interact with technology going forward,' she said.

Google Pixel event liveblog: Live updates on the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro and Watch 2 reveal
With Apple, Samsung, Microsoft and Amazon already having had their fall announcement events this year, Google's hardware keynote is ostensibly the last major launch of 2023. The company has more or less told us what it's going to be unveiling today, teasing us with trailers of the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Watch 2. If the keynotes of the other tech giants told us anything, it's that we should expect Google to also pile on with a ton of updates about its developments in generative AI, in addition to the new phones and smartwatch. We'll also probably learn more about features coming to Android 14, and it's highly likely the Assistant gains some new skills as well. The show kicked off on October 4 at 10AM ET, and so far we've covered the release of the Pixel 8 series, including the Pro, Pixel Watch 2, Pixel Buds Pro, and new AI features. Stay tuned as we update this liveblog with even more news coming out of the keynote.
